Bayley ringside for No.1 Contender Match

Last week, Naomi returned to SmackDown to confront SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley. The GLOW dropped Bayley and made it very clear she was eyeing the title. And tonight, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Dana Brooke and Carmella all had their chance to get a future SmackDown Women’s Championship opportunity by prevailing in a Fatal 4-Way Match.
Bliss looked to be closing in on victory when she went for Twisted Bliss, but Naomi raised her knees to block the attempt and followed up with the Rear View. As Naomi was preparing to cover Alexa, however, Carmella stunned The GLOW with a swift superkick to the chin to earn the victory and a future title bout.
Bayley, who was at ringside for the match, immediately pounced and drove The Princess of Staten Island face-first into the canvas before exiting the ring and flashing a devious smile at her new challenger as SmackDown concluded.

Bayley Def. Carmella for the SD Women's Title

Tempers flared when Bayley interrupted Carmella’s appearance on “A Moment of Bliss,” and the two Superstars agreed to have their scheduled SmackDown Women’s Championship immediately.
Toward the end of a heated title clash, Carmella charged Bayley in the center of the ring, only to be caught by the champion and nearly drive through the mat with the Bayley-to-Belly, but the challenger kicked out just in the nick of time.
After winning a fist fight while perched across the turnbuckles, Carmella struck with a top-rope hurricanrana that resulted in the narrowest of two-counts. Moments later, Carmella trapped Bayley in the Code of Silence, but Bayley fought out of the maneuver and into a pinning combination before placing her feet on the ropes for the three-count and a controversial title retention.
After the bell, Bayley attacked Carmella and raised her title into the air, but Naomi hit the scene and got in Bayley’s face, and Carmella and Naomi left Bayley in a crumpled heap at ringside with a pair of wicked kicks to the face.

Bayley was ringside for No1 Contender Match

After Carmella controversially lost to SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley in an instant classic last week, Naomi arrived and, along with Carmella, dropped Bayley. Following last week’s confrontation with the champ, Naomi and Carmella clashed for the right to challenge Bayley for the title at WWE Super ShowDown.
Carmella appeared to be closing in on victory when she trapped Naomi in the Code of Silence, but Naomi somehow dragged herself to the bottom rope to break the hold. Moments later, Princess Mella narrowly kicked out of the Rear View, but Naomi sealed the win and a SmackDown Women’s Title Match with a split-legged moonsault.

Naomi & Lacey Evans Def. Bayley & Sasha Banks

With so much animosity already brewing, Naomi & Lacey Evans looked to bring the fight to Bayley and the returning Sasha Banks. Momentum swung back and forth, but in the pivotal moments The Glow came to the rescue of her new teammate, The Sassy Southern Belle, and executed a quick pin of the SmackDown Women’s Champion. Naomi wasn’t able to walk out of WWE Super ShowDown with the title, but the victory showed her status as a top blue brand challenger is far from over.
