Monday 2nd July (Raw 1310)

Two friends who can’t stand each other. Stakes are high. There’s only one man who can help Bayley and Sasha Banks through the counseling sessions that will determine the fates of their Raw careers: Dr. Shelby.

When the two brawling Superstars found themselves unexpectedly scheduled for the same session, Shelby resurfaced for the first time in years and brought Bayley and Sasha into the “Friend Zone” where he attempted to work the same magic that turned Daniel Bryan and Kane into WWE Tag Team Champions. Clearly, his handiwork has some staying power, though whether Bayley and Banks can abide by the seven tenants of friendship — love, helping, joy, sharing, time, honesty, respect — is a question that might be tougher to address: Not only the Superstars' snide imitations of each other during "Honesty Theater" showed, their constant bickering left the good doctor more flustered than usual. Clearly, he has his work cut out for him this time.

It appears Dr Shelby has given up on Bayley & Sasha and this week they have a new councillor. Things still don't seem to be going smoothly. Where does this leave Bayley & Sasha Banks and their future on Raw.

Monday 16th July (Raw 1312)

Friendship counseling didn’t go so well for Bayley & Sasha Banks, but that doesn't mean there's no friendship to save. Kurt Angle tried a different tactic to get the two Superstars back on the same page, threatening to trade one of them to SmackDown LIVE if they couldn’t coexist in tag team action against Alicia Fox & Dana Brooke.

To their credit, The Huggable One and The Boss didn’t break down entirely, though an aggressive effort by Banks to save Bayley from a ringside attack got the duo disqualified.

A confrontation between the two behind the curtain provided some window into Banks’ mentality. First off, she wouldn’t allow anybody else besides her to beat up Bayley. And, despite their issues, The Boss still loves Bayley for a variety of reasons, from her comfort with her own emotions to her desire to be friends with everybody, to the fact that she always cares. It took a lot out of the notoriously guarded Boss to admit all that, and judging by Bayley's look after their conversation, the message was well received.

Bayley & Sasha Banks def. local competitors

Last week, Sasha Banks told Bayley how she really felt with an emotional, soul-baring confession that seemed to finally bring them back together. Backstage they said that they are both very different people but they have the same dream!.

Boss'N'Hug Connection

Not only did they make relatively quick work of a pair of locals, but when Bayley went to raise Banks’ arm following the match-ending Bank Statement, The Boss stepped away, seemingly refusing the gesture… only to double back and offer Bayley a hug, which was accepted in heartwarming fashion.

Bayley & Sasha Banks def. Riott Squad

A reunited Bayley & Sasha Banks took on the Riott Squad, armed with matching gear and new attitudes the Boss & Hug Connection pick up an easy victory

You’d never think they had to go to counselling. Bayley & Sasha Banks earned their second consecutive victory as a team this week, this time toppling The Riott Squad despite an impressively fought contest from Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan.

Building off their matches with Ember Moon over the previous few weeks, Morgan & Logan turned in one of their crispest performances yet, battling back as Bayley & Sasha steadily began to roll. Once Logan was tossed out of the ring, however, Morgan found herself at a numbers disadvantage that became too much to overcome, and Banks & Bayley put her down with a combo of a Backstabber into a Bayley-to-Belly.
